Three rules of the galaxy

Information moves by ship

There is no galactic internet. Every price, every rumour and every pirate sighting is only as fresh as the last ship that carried it. Fresh news is cargo, and it sells.

Players open the wormholes

The permanent gates belong to the Dominion. Every other route is a wormhole that someone opened, keeps alive with stabilisers and has to defend. Let it starve and it collapses, with whatever is on the other side.

Discoveries become quests

Find a new system, an anomaly or a wreck, and the news itself becomes work for others: surveys, salvage runs, escorts. The finder takes a share.

From the current build

The docking computer takes you into Hangar 1.
Approaching Velen Station. Every station has its own control tower, sign and colours.

The shipyard. Every Mk is a different hull, and every upgrade shows on the ship.
The galaxy map shows prices as far as you know them, and how old that knowledge is.

The Dominion lies

The Kapihan Dominion holds the permanent gates, and with them trade, fleets and the news. Its Bureau of Tidings decides what is true, and its Seal Fleet hunts every illegal wormhole. Against it stand the couriers and hole-weavers of the Open Way, the besieged miners of the Red Belt Republic, and the Starshore League, which trades with everyone and arms the rebels in secret. Join a side, or stay a trader and sell to all of them.
